This is the second and we believe the most "important" page of our sales contract.


Dog ownership is a big responsibility and not to be taken lightly. We have done our best in the following clauses to insure that the basic needs of life, for your dog, will be met. It goes without saying, that love and good care, on your part, will return years of loyalty and devotion from your pet. Please read the following clauses carefully before you sign. There are no exceptions.
NO purchaser shall **without just cause euthanize (destroy) any dog purchased from Winwood Kennel without giving us the option of taking the dog back permanently (at no charge). "Just Cause" shall mean any situation where the dog is in pain and suffering and there is no hope for recovery. This is a living creature. Not a disposable item.
NO purchaser shall sell or give away any dog purchased from Winwood Kennel without contacting Winwood first and giving them the option of taking the animal back.
NO NO purchaser shall deliberately breed a dog sold to them as Pet Non-Breeding. Any violation of this clause shall result in Winwood reclaiming the dog. We strongly urge you to spay or neuter your pet.
NO purchaser shall breed a dog sold to them as "Breeding stock" until such animal has received either an OVC or OFA Certificate stating that the animal is free from Hip Dysplasia. A copy of such certificate shall be supplied to Winwood Kennel prior to breeding. Failure to comply will result in the immediate reclaiming of the dog by Winwood.
NO purchaser shall abandon, mistreat, nor mentally or physically abuse any dog purchased by them from Winwood Kennel. Such treatment will result in the immediate reclaiming of the dog by Winwood.
NO purchaser shall deliberately teach their dog to be aggressive or vicious. We breed loving family pets who are natural protectors. "Natural Protectors" work out of love and devotion to their family. Not fear. We do not breed "Guard Dogs" and we do not sell to people wanting "Guard Dogs"! Any dog purchased from Winwood found to be used or trained for "Guard Dog " purposes will be reclaimed.
I/We the purchaser(s) acknowledge that I/we have read and accept the conditions of this sale and fully understand that if I/we fail to comply with any of the above conditions, Winwood Kennel will reclaim the dog at no cost to them. I/we further agree that in the event the dog is reclaimed, I/we shall not hinder or obstruct Winwood in their removal of the dog. I/we shall relinquish all rights to the dog, and transfer ownership back to Winwood Kennel upon request.

****This page is dedicated to our sweet little SHEBA. She was euthanized at ELEVEN MONTHS by an idiot owner who decided he was too busy to care for her. We were told about the "murder" two weeks later. We had no chance to get her back.****
